Prince Caspian on Film

Since Prince Caspian appears in 3 of the 7 books in the Chronicles of Narnia series, he's been featured in both the television and film adaptations.

BBC Adaptations

In 1989 and 1990, the BBC produced several televion versions of the Chronicles of Narnia series. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was released in 1988, followed by Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair. The BBC Productions are the only TV versions of the Narnia series made. Jean Marc Perret played Young Caspian in ...Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair. Samuel West portrayed King Caspian in Dawn Treader, and Geoffrey Russell played Old King Caspian in The Silver Chair.

The Disney Films

In 2005, Disney released the first live action Narnia film, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Directed by Andrew Adamson, the film was pretty successful, and Disney decided to continue with the series. Prince Caspian went into production in 2007, and is planned for release on May 16, 2008. British actor Ben Barnes was cast as Prince Caspian.
